Example guide This is my old dwarf guide that I posted a long time ago in another place, but it should work nicely to show you how a guide can look like.

1. Introduction
Foreword
I have finnally found some time to make a guide about the all-time ownage hero. Even though he was nerfed at least 4 times, he is still one of the best (if not THE best) hero-killers in-game. I have also made this guide to try out my new design and to improve the way of writing. Unlike my Breaker guide, this one will have a longer strategy section.
Enjoy
Pros: -Great spell combo -Magic Immunity -Disabler
Cons: -Virtually no mana -Heavily item dependant -Slow

- Power Skills
Avatar
Thunder Clap
- Passives
Strength of the Giant
Huge damage boost.
Level 1: 5 + strength / 6 damage Level 2: 10 + strength / 5 damage Level 3: 15 + strength / 4 damage Level 4: 20 + strength / 3 damage Level 5: 25 + strength / 2.5 damage
Regeneration Aura
It increases your movespeed, which is needed now that the overall speed was lowered and it also gives you some early game support.
Level 1: 2% movespeed bonus / 2 HP regeneration / 800 AoE Level 2: 4% movespeed bonus / 3 HP regeneration / 800 AoE Level 3: 6% movespeed bonus / 5 HP regeneration / 800 AoE Level 4: 8% movespeed bonus / 7 HP regeneration / 800 AoE Level 5: 10% movespeed bonus / 9 HP regeneration / 800 AoE
Endurance Aura
Increases the attack rate and movement speed of all nearby friendly units.
Level 1: 2% movement speed increase / 3% attack speed increase / 1200 AoE Level 2: 4% movement speed increase / 6% attack speed increase / 1200 AoE Level 3: 6% movement speed increase / 9% attack speed increase / 1200 AoE Level 4: 8% movement speed increase / 12% attack speed increase / 1200 AoE Level 5: 10% movement speed increase / 15% attack speed increase / 1200 AoE
Slow Aura
The best slowing skill in the game, who wouldn't want to take it?
Level 1: 10% movement speed decrease / 3% attack speed decrease / 600 AoE Level 2: 12% movement speed decrease / 6% attack speed decrease / 600 AoE Level 3: 14% movement speed decrease / 9% attack speed decrease / 600 AoE Level 4: 16% movement speed decrease / 12% attack speed decrease / 600 AoE Level 5: 18% movement speed decrease / 15% attack speed decrease / 600 AoE
5th passive:
This one depends on the game, I always forget what to get because I never come this far but some of you do therefore you can pick anything that suits your style of play, but here are some good choices.
Weakness Aura
Improves your tanking ability.
Level 1: 10% damage reduction / 850 AoE Level 2: 15% damage reduction / 850 AoE Level 3: 20% damage reduction / 850 AoE Level 4: 25% damage reduction / 850 AoE Level 5: 30% damage reduction / 850 AoE
Vampirism
Increase survivability in team fights.
Level 1: 8% lifesteal / maximum 75 hit points healed Level 2: 16% lifesteal / maximum 75 hit points healed Level 3: 24% lifesteal / maximum 75 hit points healed Level 4: 32% lifesteal / maximum 75 hit points healed Level 5: 40% lifesteal / maximum 75 hit points healed
Cleave
Mass creeping and also good when all your opponents are melee, so you can strike them all at the same time. I am not sure if they are all afflicted with Strength of the Giant.
Level 1: 14% damage splash / 275 AoE Level 2: 18% damage splash / 275 AoE Level 3: 22% damage splash / 275 AoE Level 4: 26% damage splash / 275 AoE Level 5: 30% damage splash / 275 AoE
Power Mana
Only take this if you have extreme problems with keeping your mana up.
Level 1: 4 mana points replenished when you cast your power skill Level 2: 8 mana points replenished when you cast your power skill Level 3: 12 mana points replenished when you cast your power skill Level 4: 16 mana points replenished when you cast your power skill Level 5: 20 mana points replenished when you cast your power skill
Explanation on the skill pick: With my active abilities I try to stun my opponents and for an additional blow, they can't nuke me to oblivion while the avatar is active. But with the passives you get huge magical damage with the Strength of the Giant, a neat speed bonus in form of Regeneration and Endurance Aura and a slow that helps you chase down your enemies
3. Skill build
Serious games: Level 1-14: Max out Storm Bolt and Yeti Strike. Get Regeneration Aura for passives. (active+passive) Level 18: Power Skills Level 15-21: Finish Regeneration Aura and get Strength of the Giant (passive) Level 25: Power Skills Level 22-28: Finish Strength of the Giant and get Endurance (passive) Level 32: Power Skills Level 29+: Get Slow Aura and continue with the 5th passive or with Frenzy (passive + active)
Pub ownage / Play for fun: Level 1-5: Regeneration Aura (passive) Level 6-10: Strength of the Giant (passive) Level 11-15: Endurance (passive) Level 18: Power skills (ultimate) Level 16-21: Slow Aura (passive) Level 25: Power Skills (ultimate) Level 22-28: Yeti Strike and Storm Bolt (active) Level 32: Power Skills (ultimate) Level 29-33: Storm Bolt (active) Level 34+: Get your last passive and Frenzy in last place (passive + active)

- Item explanation
Flame Holy Sword: Nice strength bonus and an additional silence to prevent enemies from casting on you.
Flame Boots: Movespeed bonus and an invaluable ganking tool.
Orb of the Dragon: Nice mana boost and the ability to Banish, which shouldn't be used unless: - You have a lot of mana - Your enemy has outrageus HP - The enemy has no heal Or if you wish to escape from an assassin type hero.
Ring of Lightning: A neat movespeed and inteligence bonus.
Orb of Bad Lion: Oh look, another silence and additional gold for hero kills.
Divine Hammer: Nice late game attack bonus item.
Rhynn's Eye: 10 second silence FTW, with additional bonuses that make your hero a real killing machine.
Orcrist: Nice damage, armor and a very strong slow.
5. Strategy
Remember to put all your points on strength during the whole game. But you may start investing into agility once you hit lvl 40 and you wish your attack speed is higher. If you get problems with mana, then you can also put 10-15 points into intelligence
The strategy is meant for the Serious build and not for the passive rush.
Early game (1-17) Pick a side a lane and destroy the tower before the game starts, after that is done, get 2 rejuvenation pots, one for immediate use and one for later. The object of your early game is to harrass your opponent with 2 nukes and hopefully a hit or two, the strength bonus will improve your creeping while doing dmg to the enemy hero if he gets close. Remember to play conservatively until you hit lvl 15, because you are pretty fragile even though you are a strength hero.
Mid game (18-32) I don't like this part of the game because intelligence hero reach their full potential here and therefore you become dogfood if they catch you with no mana for avatar or if it is on cooldown and you have no mass silence. Luckily you still have your Thunder Clap that costs very little mana and gives you a small distance bonus for an easier escape. You should quickly heal and teleport back onto the battlefield to make a quick kill and then rush back into your base before the enemy team pulverizes you.
Late game (33-44) Unlike most other heroes, Hammerogohdan is a hero that keeps getting better while the game progresses, because he isn't that item dependant later on, but becomes a monster because you continue buying them. This is way late game is your favourite part of the game. Start owning the whole enemy team by yourself and rush on to victory. This will be easier because intelligence heroes lose their power and agility heroes are not great farmers and other strength heroes are inferior to the Dwarf, so this means that you should have a good time owning.
End game (45-50) I don't remember if I ever got that far with this build. The games usually ended when I was lvl 40 or so. But I know that if you have all your items you are unstoppable.
6. Good allies / Bad enemies
The dwarf is a solo hero that has almost no counters, but if you have problems with killing your opponents, it is best to get another disabler like Breaker / Axe / Kobold. But this usually only happens when you are against a very good summoner. Other heroes are not that much of a threat because they have no HP or too low dmg output to bring you down. Also beware of Nukers, when your avatar drops you are easy meat for them.
7. Replays

Coming soon
8. Conclusion
Thank you for reading my guide, I hope you liked it. If you disagree with something please post why and please restrain yourself from flaming. Also before you post that I have a short strategy section, it is longer than my previous one and I also have strategy written with all skills and items, so it isn't so little after all
Bonus:
Mystical ownage
I never use mysticals, but if you do, I suggest making it like this:
Get Deadly Staff and Grotlantneruber. Everything else goes as said before, except that you will get Battle Magic as your 5th passive..
